Sunday Funday!!
My wife rocks the socks off her job tuesday through saturday night. Sunday hits and something magical happens! Suddenly time isn't an issue, possibilities are endless and i'm pretty sure all food is healthy .... Just for the day. We often hit up our friends pool for a bit. Laugh, talk and play with the kids. Then we eat snacks while we decide what we are are going to eat for real. (Can't plan a meal on an empty stomach). The Kids play in overdrive. Us parents relax without worry of picking up snack cups, plates and empty juice boxes spread through out the house. Bath time is negotiable, bedtime isn't until the kids can no longer stay conscious. Another snack session is likely while watching something that isn't a cartoon and may occasionally have a swear word. Finally we pick up just enough to say we did something and presto. Sleep so laid back we don't even waste the energy it takes to dream. We all need "sunday funday" no matter what day of the week. Make the time, Loosen up a bit, Eat some chocolate. The rest of your week will be less of a pain in the rump..... trust me. Live. Laugh. Love...Don't take life too seriously.

Kids Show Review for Parents- Team Toon
My son (3) has a new favorite show twice a week or so. His sister (8) introduced him to "Team Toon" not long ago. We all know it's pointless to resist at least inadvertently checking out our kids favorite shows, here's what I have experienced with "Team Toon"
A group of kids write, illustrate and publish their own online cartoon titled (psycho squirrel). Now the characters they draw manifest in reality. Using their own created superpowers they "bag n tag" evidence and use outrageous weapons and tools to solve a case every episode. Personally this has been one of my favorites, from the retro title sequence (catchy tune) to the over the top characters blending live action with "lo-fi" animation. Villains are memorable. It's fairly believable that my son actually see's the world this way sometimes. Story is easy to follow for a 3 year old yet interesting enough for an 8 year old. Overall I recommend this one. (I don't have a thumbs up icon)

Spare time.... right.
I have a 3 year old son full time and an 8 year old daughter whenever I can get her. We recently moved into a new house and with a new place comes my list of projects. One of the "to do" lists I made was titled "spare time projects" . . . Ha! I glanced at it last night and couldn't remember the last time I had enough spare time to do much more than wipe something down or take out the trash etc. My wife works full time (and very hard I might add). It takes both of us every ounce of juice that we have to even remotely keep up with the unstoppable 1000 mph freight train that is our son, add in his sister.....forget about it. We just hold on and try to enjoy the ride. Most important (to me) is actually spending the time. Toys, games, clothes can all be bought for our children, none of those compare to the gift that is our time actively participating in their world as well as including them in ours. . . Live. Laugh. Love... Spend the time NOW.

I was Beard before Beard was cool. . . (annoyed sigh)
Some of you may remember way way back in the day (like 2012) when having a beard made a real statement, such as; "I have more important things to do than shave", "I don't want to look like I'm in junior high." or "I'm really a pirate." How I miss the days when I didn't have to explain that I don't wear a beard, I just haven't shaved this week.....or month.....or ever if I can help it.
Don't get me wrong, I have certainly fallen victim to hip style trends. Fortunately my mother did me the solid of not buying me hammer pants when I was in 4th grade (excellent parenting mom). I don't blame a fella for spending way more time in front of a mirror than any man should, attempting to look as hip and drop dead sexy us bearded pioneers. For those of you that are beard come lately's, I absolutely intended to inform you that you are being ridiculous (you will get over it).... Did anyone ever think that maybe women just got tired of looking at our faces? (pause for effect)....
The real question is what will the next must have trend in men's sex appeal be? I really hope it's having a dad belly (I earned mine), I'm fairly sure the passing fad of visible abs (washboard style) is so last year. After all, the ladies need a soft place to lay their heads after us logger bellied, bearded mountain men show them what a man that doesn't wax is made of. Live. Love. Laugh. Shave or don't, I am now officially over it.... end of rant.
